This 1970s block, originally of 16, is located on a busy retail strip in a colourful and cramped neighbourhood. We found it in very poor condition but ripe for redevelopment.
Working closely with the developers, we lodged a successful DA to allow an increase of the number of units from 16 to 23 through the addition of an extra two levels on the main street side of the building. Limited access made this a delicate process.
Once the building was reconfigured and the concrete cancer cured, we re- rendered, repainted and carried out a full fire upgrade. A big project but a rewarding one.
