About This Project

It had been over 30 years since any real work was done to this dilapidated block of six in a beautiful leafy street on Sydney’s lower North Shore. The block was covered by North Sydney Heritage Act which placed restrictions on the work that could be done, and how it could be done, so great care was needed. We gutted the entire block (carefully of course), reconfigured each unit and renovated them.

All the garages were underpinned and we carried out a full fire safety upgrade. As part of the works we were able to develop a new common backyard area, which was then fully landscaped for the enjoyment of all residents. Being an old building there were a number of repairs that required specialist attention. For example, one of the original stained glass feature windows was damaged beyond repair, so we engaged a stained glass artist to recreate the window in original style. It matches its sister window so well it’s difficult to know which is the original!
